Longsands Academy appoints Executive Principal

Mr Francis Bray, currently executive head at University Technical College Norfolk (UTCN) has been appointed as the new Executive Principal at Longsands Academy.

He said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Longsands Academy team and the wider Cambridgeshire community as executive principal.

“I am passionate about working alongside scholars, parents, staff, and wider partners to ensure every scholar at Longsands Academy has the highest aspirations and access to the very best educational opportunities.

“I look forward to what we will achieve together.”

After taking over Waterside Academy in April 2022, Mr Bray oversaw a significant improvement in examination results by summer 2024, placing the school in the top 70 schools nationally.
