School Meals Supervisory Assistant– Edenthorpe Hall Primary Academy


Salary Range:          Point 1 – £9.00 per hour – £2050 per annum

Contract Type:        Temporary 1 year contract/ 5 hours per week/ term time only

Location:                 Edenthorpe Hall Primary Academy, Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Start Date:              23rd  November 2020 (or as soon after as possible)

The Role

We have an opportunity to join our team as a School Meals Supervisory Assistant during our daily lunchtime period.


Duties Include (but not limited to):


  • To oversee the children in the dining hall, ensuring that there is a safe environment at all times.
  • To oversee the children in the playground during lunchtime, ensuring there is a safe environment at all times.
  • To work as part of the lunchtime team.
  • To actively promote the Academy’s positive behaviour policy and core values.
  • To encourage a healthy lifestyle through active promotion of positive play and overseeing dinners.


Required Skills/Experience

We are looking for candidates who can display the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working with children in a primary setting (Essential)
  • Positive behaviour management skills (Essential)
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team (Essential)
  • Kind, caring and compassionate (Essential)
  • High professional and personal standards (Essential)
  • First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
  • Relevant safeguarding training (Desirable)
  • Ability to promote positive play (Essential)
  • Ability to work as part of a team (Essential)
