Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Medical & Disability Needs)

Salary: Grade 07 – £19,554 pro rata

We are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant at Longsands Academy to support our classroom teachers in facilitating the active participation of students in the academic and social activities of the school.

The successful candidate will be required to coordinate medication information and provision within the school. Excellent communication skills and a meticulous approach are essential as you will be required to liaise closely with students, parents, outside agencies and key school staff, as well as subject teachers and primary colleagues at transition stage. Some medical knowledge and experience, as well as an ability to deliver physiotherapy exercises and activities to promote motor coordination, would be advantageous.

The role is for 32.5 hours per week, worked over 5 days with a start time of 8am each day. The role term time only plus 1 training day in September.

Salary is based on Local Government Salary Grade 07 £19,554 pro rata (actual salary for hours stated is £16,308).
