Position: Administrative Assistant

Salary: Grade 3 Point 5 – Actual Salary £16,413

Contract: 37 hours per week, 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 3.30pm Friday

40 weeks per year (term time plus 2 weeks)

Reporting to: Administration and Media Manager

Longsands Academy is looking for a pro-active and efficient person to provide administrative support as part of the school Admin team. Responsibilities will include working on the SIMS database, maintaining accurate records, HR administration and general office tasks. You will also be expected to provide cover for other roles, including First Aid, Reception, Attendance and Reprographics when required.

You will ideally be highly proficient in Microsoft Applications, have experience of working as part of a team, in a school environment and prior experience of HR or confidential administration would be an advantage. A current First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable, together with an up to date knowledge and understanding of the practices and procedures within education relating to the welfare and safety of students.

Longsands Academy is a successful 11-19 comprehensive school in St Neots, a market town with good facilities, within easy reach of Cambridge and with excellent transport links to London. There is a fully equipped Fitness Suite available for staff use.
